HOTEL Sheraton Edison Hotel Raritan Center, 125 Raritan Center Parkway, Edison, NJ, (732) 225-8300. The group room rate for the cat show is $89.00/night plus taxes or $99/night INCLUDING BREAKFAST BUFFET. Ask for the group rate under the group name Jersey State Feline Fanciers. There is no pet deposit but you will be required to sign a waiver for damages.  A block of rooms has been set aside for the club and will be held until the cut-off date of January 14, 2010.WE ARE USING TICA’S HOTEL ROOM INSPECTION POLICY. PLEASE KEEP YOUR ROOM NEAT AND ALL SPRAYING MALES CONFINED. PLEASE PUT CAT LITTER IN TRASH BAGS AND BRING IT TO THE SHOW HALL FOR DISPOSAL. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT OF CLEANING BILLS DEEMED NECESSARY BY THE SHERATON EDISON HOTEL RARITAN CENTER.
AIRPORT Fly into NEWARK AIRPORT (EWR).
CHECK-IN/SHOW HOURS Check-in will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Friday and 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Judging will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. on Friday and at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Advertised show hours are 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. No cats/kittens may remain in the show hall overnight. No cats/kittens may be left under the benching area at any time.
BENCHING, CAGES & SUPPLIES Single cages are approximately 22″ X 22″ x 22″. A single cage will be provided with each entry. All cages must be covered on top, back, sides and bottom. No more than one (1) adult cat or two (2) kittens are permitted in a single cage. Cat litter will be provided. PLEASE bring your own litter pan, cat food and dishes. PLEASE indicate on the summary sheet if you are using your own cage. We will do our best to accommodate ONE benching request. An agent request IS a benching request. Please do not put more than one name for agent and benching.
HOUSEHOLD PETS Household pet kittens (ages 4 – 7 months) and adults (8 months and older) may be entered. All adult HHP entries must be spayed or neutered. If you are unsure of the proper color class for your pet, include a full description or a photo (photo will be returned with confirmation).
KITTENS Kittens entered for competition must be at least four (4) months old on the first day of the show.  Kittens for sale must be at least three (3) months old on the first day of the show.  TICA litter registration must be available upon request of show management.
SHOW RULES By entering the Jersey State Feline Fanciers, Inc. show, all exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and the show committee and the TICA show rules. Official show rules may be obtained from TICA, PO Box 2684, Harlingen, TX  78551 or online at http://tica.org/members/publications/shw_rules.pdf.
REGISTRATION Registration with TICA is not necessary to compete in a cat’s first show, but is required for the next show and confirmation of titles and TICA Regional/International scoring and awards. All cats in New Traits, Preliminary New Breed & Advanced New Breed classes must be registered with TICA in order to be shown.
HEALTH This is a NON-VETTED show. All cats/kittens entering the show hall must be inoculated against panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis, rabies and calicivirus and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV before the show. Any cat/kitten showing signs of fleas, fungus, mites or other communicable disease will be asked to leave the show hall immediately (with no refund). If the exhibitor protests the judgment of show management, a veterinarian will be brought in at the exhibitor’s expense to determine if the cat is healthy. According to TICA show rules, if a cat is disqualified, all cats/kittens owned or agented by the exhibitor must leave the show hall immediately. Claws must be clipped before judging. Any cat which is obviously pregnant or lactating will be disqualified.
CLERKS AND STEWARDS Please mark your summary sheet if you are interested in clerking. Clerks will be paid $35 per day plus an allowance for lunch. Stewards will be paid $20 per day plus lunch. Please do not deduct fees from your entries. Clerks and stewards will be paid on Sunday after the show.
AWARDS >Rosettes will be awarded in accordance with current TICA show rules. This show will be scored for Regional and International awards. Best of the Best rosettes and trophies will be presented to the top five cats, kittens, alters, household pets and household pet kittens.
HOLD HARMLESS POLICY By entering this show, the exhibitor named on the entry form/summary sheet holds harmless Jersey State Feline Fanciers, Inc., Jersey STate Animal Rescue (Jersey STAR), The International Cat Association (TICA), and the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center from any damages, claims, or theft as a result of any action/conduct related to the operations of this show.   6. Speaking about kittens, mine did something so cute today. She keeped jumping around trying to chase a fly and eventually got dizzy and started walking funny. I wish I video taped it because it was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.
