Hi guys, I hope you had a fun weekend. I am just now unwinding from a pretty busy couple days. Abigail and Finn are taking snoozes so I thought I’d hop on give you some more details about their shenanigans this week.

On Friday, I had plans to meet a friend for lunch and right before I was about to leave I tried to give Abigail her cat medicine. (she takes Pretizone for her breathing as she has asthma). Normally Abigail is pretty good about getting the small white pill down which I burrow in a Greenie Pill Pocket but I swear she knew I was trying to get out the door because she kept doing the, “nope, no way” head turn. After several minutes of goo goo talk and lots of pleading, she finally took the Pill Pocket. I turned my head to use the sink and wash my hands, when I noticed from the corner of my eye, something come out of her mouth. It happened so fast, and her entire body shifted, that I couldn’t be sure what it was. Of course I asked her, and she sat there, chewing, chewing, chewing as if she had the Greenie in her mouth. I could just tell by the look in her eyes though, she was up to no good. I looked around her body for the pill I thought she might have spit out, but nothing. Then I noticed her wiggle her seated but again and that is when I realized she had tucked the pill under her and was sitting on it so I wouldn’t know she did not swallow it. Ahhhhh!
Why do they do this stuff as we are trying to walk out the door? Never mind…. I can’t even believe I just asked that question. I’ll be back after the Pawlidays with more shenanigan stories. Let me know how your kitties trick you – I love clever kitty (or doggy) stories!

My kitty was never agreeable with her medicine either. She also had asthma.
thanks Ann, it makes me feel better to know Abigail is not alone with her ailment!
