Wow, check out the contest to win a Kritter Kondo Deluxe!
Recently Kritter Kommunity was invited to do an interview with Idea Mensch. Lisa was thrilled when asked questions that gave her the opportunity to chat it up about Twitter!
What is trending that Kritter Kommunity loves?
Social Media, especially Twitter and Facebook; what a great way to hear the voice of your customer direct! I used both to generate on-line buzz about my product but even more importantly to get feedback from the end-users to learn what else they would like to see from Kritter Kommunity.
What is one tool that helps you bring good things to life?
The tool I used to help me launch my business and first product was Twitter. It was ideal because I could post photos to get feedback, tweet with other pet lovers to develop relationships with customers, tweet with other industry professionals to network and host Twitter Contests to generate a “buzz” . Twitter has been a good friend to me, I highly recommend it to any business.
How to avoid PAWSTA for dinner
-keeping cats off kitchen countertops
Cat lovers who also have culinary skills in the kitchen may struggle with their favorite feline lounging around the stove or napping on the counters. The warmth an oven and appliances generate is very attractive to a cat. It can be comfortable, but beware; it can also be dangerous for a cat. Not only are there hot items to pounce on accidentally, there could be toxic cleaning residue on the counters or left out that can be harmful to your cat. There are also reasons you might not want your cat on the cabinets including cat hair in your food and the threat of a cat walking into your masterpiece meal during preparation.
Below are a few suggestions for keeping your kitty away from food preparation and off countertops.
Water Bottle
Using ONE QUICK spray of water can teach your cat not to jump on the counter. Please note, this is not a favorite with many feline owners because it re enforces an overall dislike for water which can make giving a bath absolute torture
Loud Sound
This could be a horn or loud boom. The biggest problem with this solution is that the cat can jump up when you are not around to make the loud noise.
Aluminum Foil
Lining your counter tops with aluminum foil can be an almost absolute deterrent for cats jumping on counters. They dislike the sound walking on aluminum foil makes, and they do not like the feeling of the foil on their paws. This will keep their paws on the floor and out of your pasta dish!
A favorite among cat owners is an enclosure that can offer your kitty a comfortable area to watch you cook while staying off the counter tops and out from underneath your feet! Check out the Kritter Kondo, an enclosure that can be used indoors and outdoors. It’s collapsibility and carrying case make it easy to store and very mobile. The Kritter Kondo measures approximately 2.5’W x 2.0H x 5.5L giving your cat enough space to lounge around comfortably while watching you in the kitchen! Added bonus, the Kritter Kondo is also an outdoor enclosure so kitty can enjoy fresh air and sunshine safely. More information can be found at www.kritterkommunity.com

Lisa:
Hi Mike, and thank you for the opportunity to share my story with you today.
I realized I had a pet product many cat owners would like pretty early on. My courtyard acts as a showcase for people walking around my neighborhood; so putting the cats in their Kondos outside was much like displaying adorable kittens in a pet store window. People stop, stare, ask questions, ooh and ahhh. After answering for the 5th or 6th time, “where did you get those, my cats would love one”?, I started to make a few calls. After realizing there is a market for these Kitty Kondos, small dog owners started asking me where they could get one….. hence the name Kritter Kondo instead of Kitty Kondo.

Hey guys! This summer my sis Abi and I are going to be having impromptu contests on Twitter. A few (or MORE :<) times a week you’ll see a TWEET pop up offering a gift certificate with something you will need to DM us. The anipal (s) that win will be asked to email us a few things about themselves. Nothing major, we’ll send you the questions with your gift certificate, you simply answer the questions and email them back with a favorite photo or two or three or four if you are camera happy. I will then post your answers and your photo here on our Blog so that your Twitter friends can read your stats. Okay, time to get busy! I have my first furry friend to post shortly. YAY!
